Tasting notes

Colour: Golden yellow, with a fine and light foam.

Nose: An expressive nose revealing aromas of flowers, hazelnuts and almonds.

Palate: The attack is lively, fresh and light, with notes of honey.A subtle woody touch on the finish reminds us of the most beautiful Chardonnays from the region of origin of our House.

Food and wine pairing

Enjoy it as an aperitif, or with warm or cold oysters, scallops, pike mousseline with crayfish sauce or duck foie gras escalopes. It will also be the perfect accompaniment to your desserts.

Serving suggestions

Serve chilled, between 6° et 8°C.

Ageing potential

Its freshness is best appreciated young, and it can be kept for 2 years.

Origins

Our House was once one of the pioneers of sparkling wine production in Burgundy. Some of its emblematic cuvées, served on cruise ships such as the Normandie, have contributed to the international recognition of Bouchard Ainé & Fils as a signature of French quality and luxury. After more than 50 years devoted exclusively to still wines, Bouchard Ainé & Fils is paying tribute to this glorious past with a new sparkling wine. This Brut de Chardonnay "Grande Cuvée" is a wine with a unique personality that retraces a whole part of our history in a sublime bottle.

This sparkling wine is a perfect reflection of our commitment to the promotion of grape varieties, offering great complexity through its finesse but remaining accessible to all.

Vinification and maturing

Natural fermentation in thermo-regulated tanks. Our Brut de Chardonnay "Grande Cuvée" was aged on fine lees for 3 months and stirred daily during the prise de mousse. A part of the base wines has been aged with oak.

Alcohol content: 12% vol. - Dosage : 6g/l. (BRUT)
