Tasting notes
Nose: A lovely woodiness that adds complexity, combining notes of fruit, hazelnut, fresh almond and acacia, with a touch of minerality (rock, gunflint) to lift the whole. Superb!
Palate: The perfect balance between freshness and smoothness. The structure is full and silky, the wine powerful and full-bodied, yet elegant and refined. The flavours are fruity, buttery and incredibly complex. Surprisingly long on the palate, this is a wine par excellence for laying down!

Origins
The ‘Perrières’ climat covers 13.7 hectares and is made up of several parcels: Aux Perrières (0.80 ha), Perrières Dessus (3.31 ha), Perrières Dessous (8.65 ha) and Clos des Perrières (0.94 ha). It takes its name from the soil on which the vines grow: ‘Perrières’ comes from the Latin Petrarium meaning ‘stone quarry’. The vineyard faces east and south, at an altitude of 260 metres. The vines are grown on soils composed mainly of Callovian limestone and Argovian marl.

Vintage : 2019
Since the start of the 20th century, every vintage that has ended with a “9” has been wonderful. The only downside to this one is below-average volumes.
